Andrej Pejic voted 98th sexiest WOMAN in the world

Male model Andrej Pejic has been changing traditions and making waves in the fashion industry since he began modeling women's clothing. Pejic has been voted the 98th sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine readers. However some readers are unhappy with this 'Designers are hailing him as the next big thing. We think 'thing' is quite accurate. More troubling is the fact that Andrej is not the only one when it comes to supermodels that are not all they seem'.  These comments have sparked outrage and FHM promptly removed the entry from its website. A spokesperson for FHM said 'Andrej Pejic appears at number 98 in FHM's sexiest 100 women of the world. Regrettably the copy accompanying Andrej's online entry wasn't subbed prior to going live. Once we realised, we removed it immediately. FHM has spoken to the individual concerned and has taken steps to ensure it never happens again'. Pejic was discovered while working in McDonals and is happy to model women's clothing 'Sometimes I feel like more of a woman, other times I feel like a male'. The fashion industry is constantly changing and developing. Could Andrej be the next Kate Moss?

Emma Watson: shows why she was named world's best dressed woman

She was named the world's best-dressed woman earlier this month, and it's not hard to see why.
Emma Watson showed exactly why she beat stars including Cheryl Cole and Kate Moss to the top of Glamour magazine's survey as she stepped out in Paris yesterday showing off her enviable figure in a frilly minidress.
The 21-year-old actress looked stunning in the monochrome dress, which she teamed with slicked back hair and a pair of sky-high heels while leaving the Ritz Hotel in Paris.

Fashionista: Emma showed off her enviable figure in the flirty outfit, which she teamed with on-trend slicked back hair

Emma has worked hard to transform herself from innocent young actress into a world-famous fashionista, but her status was secured earlier this year when she won a job with cosmetics house
Lancôme.
And while it had been unknown which part of the brand Emma would be working with, it was confirmed together the former Harry Potter star will be the face of the new Trésor Midnight Rose fragrance for women.
In a statement released by Lancôme, Emma said: 'Being a Lancôme ambassadress today is an immense pleasure and a great honour.
'For me, Lancôme is an authentic brand. It reflects elegance, class and style.'

Who's your friend? Emma shared a joke with one of the hotel staff as she headed out for the evening

Lancôme International president Youcef Nabi added: 'Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation.
'We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme.'
Emma was seen earlier this year shooting the new Lancôme campaign with Mario Testino in Paris.
And landing the Lancôme job was the latest in a long line of prestigious accolades for the young star.
In February, she was handed the Elle Style Icon award by Vivienne Westwood, who admitted to having no idea who the actress was.
Watson also launched an eco-friendly collection with Italian designer Alberta Ferretti, a line called Pure Threads by Emma Watson.

100 Contemporary Designers, Kate Moss for Kidz on Zazzle

Big thanks to Buzznet for sending me mah prezzies for the Fashion Week blogging contest! After a slightly problematic address mix-up, I received the much-anticipated package today. I got two books: Chanel Collections and Creations by Daniele Bott and 100 Contemporary Designers published by Taschen and edited by Terry Jones. Buzznet also bestowed The September Issue DVD upon me! Happy day! I haven't taken a close look at the Chanel book yet, but I flipped through 100 Contemporary Designers this afternoon. It's fantastic. It is comprised of two extremely heavy volumes, profiling fashion designers A to Z, from Haider Ackerman to Italo Zucchelli. The book gives a brief history and interview of each designer, and shows photos from various ad campaigns/editorials featuring his or her work. The book was published in 2009 so it's a bit out of date: Alexander McQueen has his own page but I don't really mind because it's a nice reminder of his legacy and overall amazing talent.

 Oh Anna, you're adorable.

Part II:
A user named "TeenModelingTV" on Zazzle is selling children's tee-shirts touting Kate Moss' famous quote, "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!". This is quite awful. First of all, the message this quote sends to adults, much less impressionable 10 year olds, is completely screwed up and unhealthy. Second of all, if you're going to sell something as inane as this, you might as well market it well because I'm sure no parent in his or her right mind is going to readily purchase it. I mean look at this unhappy girl:

dis chick is like 6 but she knows something's wrong.

Also, the sizing info on this shirt describes it as running extremely small. "TeenModelingTV" suggests you buy one or two sizes up. If you take a look at the rest of their Zazzle, you will find it stocked with magnets saying "Waif or Death," and shirts with "MILF" with a slash through it. They've also got a pin titled "Eilish scngrl button." Why anyone would want this stuck on their shirt is beyond me:

Andrej for Dazed & Confused

Andrej's latest editorial is photographed by Anthony Maule for the April 2011 issue of Dazed & Confused. The conceptual shoot is futuristic and experimental — think gigantic sculptural accessories made out of metal, some too crazy to imagine even Lady Gaga wearing. Feast your eyes on this guyszs:

Though I love Andrej's androgyny, it's a nice change to see him featured in an editorial that's not focusing on his ambiguous gender.

Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for upstate New York. My Spring vacation will not be spent on a tropical island. Instead, I will be devoting three days to a place about 10 degrees colder than New York. FUN FACT I actually like cold weather more than warm.
just hangin' in the snow... daz mah jam

though Kate Moss is amazing I don't do beaches.

So if I don't post for a few days, you'll know why.

Hairstyle of the week!

Kate Moss
Kate MoKate Moss's dishevelled 'do' had us green with envy this week, so we've been on to celebrity stylist Mark Woolley to find out how we can get the look at home - your shortcut to fabulous hair starts here.

Mark won the prestigious ‘Business Director of the Year’ Award at the British Hairdressing Business Awards on Monday (well done Mark!) but as he tells us: “Nobody does ‘effortlessly undone’ better than Kate Moss.

"A healthy dose of backcombing at the crown means that the soft, voluminous layers in her hair fall at all the right angles, highlighting her razor sharp cheekbones and jaw-droppingly perfect bone structure. I love that her hair channels a rock ‘n’ roll vibe whilst looking luxuriously full and glossy – Kate Moss really is ‘dishevelled sophistication’ defined and with this look, her style icon status remains firmly secure.”

Follow Mark's steps to success:

STEP ONE
Work some L’Oreal Playball Silky Sunrise Spray (£9.95, www.electric-hair.com) into damp hair for gloriously soft locks and create a parting roughly with your fingers, not a comb, for a more natural ‘undone’ feel.

STEP TWO
Lightly spritz some hairspray onto the bristles of a Denman D3 Classic Styling Brush (£8.50, www.electric-hair.com) and at the back of the crown, gently backcomb at the roots. The trick here is to separate the top layers of the hair first and then backcomb the under layers, gently smoothing the top layer to give the illusion of natural volume and shape.

STEP THREE
Treat hair with a heat protection spray and using the styling brush, blow dry small sections, no more than an inch wide, in semi-circular motions to create voluminous shape to frame the face. Be sure to keep these strands separated when blow drying as this ensures a dishevelled result.

STEP FOUR
After working through the hair, lightly spritz the finished style with L’Oreal Gloss Control Spray (£8.50, www.electric-hair.com) to add a luxurious sheen. Finally, tease and twist the ends of the hair with your fingers to create definition within the layers that should easily take you from day to night.
