Bollywood is known for its family-oriented history with generation-after-generation from one family going into showbiz. Slowly, actors who don't hail from filmy families are finding it more and more difficult to get a break in Bollywood as the support system of Bollywood's heirs is much stronger. Shruti Hassan, daughter of legendary actor Kamal Hassan and Sarika is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Imran Khan in the film Luck. Apart from acting, Shruti is also an established singer.

Who needs any introduction to Kareena Kapoor, who hails from the famous Prithviraj Kapoor dynasty that is arguably the first family of Bollywood. Her father is Randhir Kapoor and her grandfather was the Showman of the Millenium, Raj Kapoor.

Funny man Govinda took his daughter Narmmadaa Ahuja to the IIFA celebrations this year to introduce her to the Bollywood fraternity officially. She created some buzz last year after being escorted to the IIFA function by Salman Khan.

Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Slumdog Millionaire actor Anil Kapoor may not have a single hit to her credit, but she is still one of the hottest women in the country.

Another controversial newcomer in Bollywood is Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of Shatrughan Sinha. It is rumoured that Sonakshi had initially refused to make her debut opposite Salman Khan because the role was not meaty enough. After talks between her father and the Khan family, it has now been confirmed that she will star opposite Sallu in Arbaaz Khan's production debut.

Another Bollywood leading lady comes from a long line of beautiful actresses of the film industry. Kajol is the daughter of Tanuja and the neice of Nutan.

Bong bombshells Riya and Raima Sen are the daughters of actress Moon moon Sen.

Shraddhaa Kapoor, daughter of Shakti Kapoor too has an impressive debut all set up for her. She is going to enter Bollywood with the Big B starrer Teen Patti later this year.

Sheena Shahabadi, daughter of yesteryear actress Sadhna, is making a rather unconventional beginning in Bollywood. In her debut flick Tere Sang, she plays a teenaged girl whose boyfriend makes her pregnant.

Kareena has been in the news lately for her film that was previously titled Jehaad, but has now been renamed as the title is liable to raise problems and controversy.

Producer Karan Johar was a little upset with Saif and Kareena - the leading pair of the film - for declaring Jehaad as the title even before it was finalised.

The film has now been remaned Qurbaan.

Qurbaani is the third Saif-Kareena film that is underway, the other two being Agent Vinod and Race 2.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan roped in Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone for item songs in Billu Barber and the three actresses agreed to do the numbers because they have a point to prove to naysayers. Kareena, however, was criticised for her dress and weight in the song. Even the remixed version of the song lacked verve, many thought. This time Kareena wants every component in the item song to be perfect.

It seems so many women around Krishna is befitting - they may be the modern day gopis!
