Actress Sonam Kapoor was recently in the news for different reasons. Early this month, there were reports of the leggy lass being too sick to act. Kapoor had admitted that she had reached this stage because she can’t say ‘no’ to people, and her nature to push herself to pack in more each day. Soon after, came the pleasant news that she will be flown to Cannes to make an appearance on the red carpet this month.
Basking in the good news, Kapoor, who’s now back on her feet, shooting for Mausam in Switzerland, has a lot on her mind. A source close to the actor says that she has been given strict instructions to take it easy and not over-exert herself. “But this time we know that she will take our advice seriously Sonam doesn’t want to miss out on her red carpet glory at the Cannes,” laughs the source.
The source also reveals that the actress will be back in the country in a couple of days and that will leave her less than a week to prepare and pack her bags for Cannes. “Though Sonam is busy shooting and taking extra care of her health, her mind is occupied with what she will wear and is co-ordinating for her outfit, shoes and the like from Switzerland. However, the details will be worked out only when she gets back to India and one can only imagine how excited she is about this,” says the source.
In fact, before leaving for Switzerland, an excited Kapoor had said, “It has always been my dream to walk the red carpet at Cannes and now it’s going to be a reality!” And apart from making a fashion statement that people will remember for days to come, Sonam said that she is also, “looking forward to meeting actors and filmmakers from the world over and attending screenings of some interesting films.”
But quiz the source if Kapoor will flaunt designs by an Indian designer or an international fashion house and she says that even Kapoor hasn’t decided on that yet! Guess we will have to wait for the actor to come back to India to know more on that.
