Olave Mandara directed by debutant director Jayathirtha is certainly one of the best Kannada films to hit the screen in the recent months.

Jayathirtha delivers a touching film which is not only engrossing but also upholds the value of pure love and human spirit. The film has a fresh concept neatly told using contemporary technical inputs. There is no dull moment after the initial fifteen minutes.

The strength of the film lies in its content which paves way to many small but touching incidents which define the journey of the hero.

The story revolves around the love between Sreeki of Karnataka and Preethi from Assam who meet during a National Dance Competition held at Coimbatore.

Sreeki who is a serial lover undergoes a transformation thanks to Preethi. He promises Preethi that he will visit Raniganj to meet her mother and convince her to get them married. But he loses his credit cards, purse and mobile.

While crossing the states and its interiors he comes across many who make him realise the true value of love. But does he get to Raniganj without any money? Will her mother agree to their wedding?

New comer Srikanth shows signs of becoming a good actor. He breathes life both as a dancer and in the action sequences of the film. He shines well in the emotional sequences too. Akanksha is a treat to watch. Rangayana Raghu and Veena Sundar have put in their best too.

Cameraman Ravi Kumar has done exceptional work in capturing the beautiful visuals of the nine states where the film was shot. Music is top class and Deva should be complimented for a fine background score and melodious music compositions. Jayathirtha's dialogues are meaningful and all the lyric writers of the film have to be complimented for writing such wonderful lyrics.

Olave Mandara is a beautiful film that genuine film lovers cannot afford to miss. This film will certainly create a new bench mark in the way youthful love stories can be told on screen.

Story:

It is the sacrifice of the protagonist in the film ‘Ajay’ (Ajay Rao) for the sake of his friend. Ajay gives up his love and protects it for his friend return from foreign country. But the mother Saraswathi (played by Thara) takes the final decision when things go out of control. When Sahana (Aindrita Ray) was about to board the plan to New Delhi for the job she has secured in the penultimate scenes opens up the inbuilt aspirations (Manasina Mathu) of Ajay via mother as she wants her son to be happy in life.

The 2002 ‘Roja Kootam’ (directed by Sasi starring Srikanth and Bhumika Chawla) Tamil film is ‘Manasina Mathu’ in Kannada. The careless son Ajay instead of completing his studies goes behind the charming Sahana. After three dream songs he is about to announce his intentions to his friend Krishna (Lohith) but he is in for a shock. Krishna and Sahana are lovers. Ajay keeps his aspirations and starts sacrificing for his best friend. Krishna with three sisters in the family has ailing one. He leaves to USA for a job and promise his friend Ajay and lover Sahana that he would return. In the gap of Krishna coming back some developments takes place. Ajay and Sahana are made to live together separately. In the eyes of the society they are couples but both are waiting for Krishna to return.

When Krishna returns he comes with a proposal of give and take set up. That leads Sahana very pitiable. But once again Ajay comes to the rescue. Ajay comes forward to marry the forced match of his friend Krishna. In the marriage hall the cop who is watching Ajay and Sahana unveil the recent past. Krishna goes back in his proposal of give and take set up.

Sahana decide to leave to New Delhi but in the airport Rs.50 note brings more changes for the good.

Chiru Kannada movie review and photo

"Chirru" does not boast of a fresh story. The content seems to be a ready mix of several films, but the presentation is really good and engaging. Though the film drags in the first half, post interval its pacy and there are many attractive things that makes it an interesting watch.
New find Kriti Kharbanda looks ravishing in song sequences. She is good at dancing, but needs to improve her acting skills.
Coming to the flaws, the flow in the first half should have been pacier. Some unnecessary sequences in the first half should have been chopped off. Mahesh Babu has borrowed a few sequences from Telugu blockbusters including "Magadheera".
In the film, Chirru gets a job in a music firm in Bengaluru and there he meets Madhu accidentally. She is the daughter of the Home Minister.
Chirru bumps into Madhu on several occasion and it creates problems for him because the Home Minister's henchman mistakes him as her lover. Meanwhile, Madhu is dating Deepak and she even introduces her lover to Chirru. But the Home Minister's associates are unaware of Madhu and Deepak's relationship. They try to threaten Chirru and even attack him.
Chirru is unable to understand why he has been targeted. He loses his job because he fights with the Home Minister's 'chelas'. When a frustrated Chirru tries to return to his native place, he finds that Madhu is being chased by her father's henchman.
Among the character artists it is Rangayana Raghu who fares well. His performance in the climax sequence is sure to touch heart strings. Bullet Prakash is wasted in the movie.

Music is one high point of the film and Giridhar has certainly emerged as a talented composer. Three songs - "Ille Ille Ello", "Nanna Kannallidhe" and "Shambo Shiva Shankara" are sure to impress audiences.

"Chirru" is a well-packaged entertainer. Go for it.

Jogayya release in 300 theaters

       Prem has told an interviewer on a private channel that the audio of the film will be releasing in January next year and the film's tickets will be issued two weeks in advance. Whether these claims is acceptable or near to reality will have to be tested only in future as he has been making such empty claims even in previous films. He says that he will be releasing Jogayya in about 300 theatres in the state when everyone in the industry knows that state boasts of 600 good permanent structured theatres.
      Anyway Best of Luck to Prem to realise his claims which now looks as only dreams that can only remain unfulfilled in days to come.

Yaksha release

Yaksha kannada movie releasing on 29th of oct-10, Loose mada fame Yogesh is starring and film produced by his father himself. as per the gandhinagar rumers film is rich on screen. so will have to wait and see how Yaksha rule the film industry
