Uma Thurman Arrives At The Premiere Of “Ceremony”

After spending a lovely vacation in Paris with her kids, Uma Thurman came back relaxed and in good spirits, ready to hit the red carpet. Last night, the actress arrived for at the premiere of her new movie “Ceremony”, stopping to chat and signed autographs for her fans.


When asked about her stalker, Uma didn’t seem to worried about the whole thing. I’m sure she has her home secured with surveillance, but I would still be worried. She’s been going through the whole ordeal for quite some time now….

On a happier note, have you seen the previews of her new movie? Interesting story line. Kind of reminds me of “My Best Friend’s Wedding’”.

Uma Karuna Thurman born April 29, 1970is an American actress. She has performed in leading roles in a variety of films, ranging from romantic comedies and dramas to science fiction and action movies. Among her best-known roles are those in the Quentin Tarantino films Pulp Fiction or which she received an Oscar nominationand Kill Bill. In 2002 she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Hysterical Blindness.

Thurman's mother, Nena von Schlebrügge, was a model born in Mexico City in 1941. Thurman's maternal grandfather was Colonel Baron Friedrich Karl Johannes von Schlebrügge, a German military officer who had become one of the senior Nazi spies in the America but who was also jailed by the Nazis for protecting Jewish friends Thurman's maternal grandmother was Swedish-born Birgit Holmquist, from Trelleborg, who in 1930 modelled for a nude statue that overlooks the harbor of Smygehuk, Sweden.Thurman's mother was introduced to LSD guru Timothy Leary by Salvador Dalí and became Leary's third wife in 1964. She wed Thurman's father, Robert Alexander Farrar Thurman b. August 3, 1941, in 1967; he was born in New York City, to Elizabeth Dean Farrar, a stage actress, and Beverly Reid Thurman, Jr., an Associated Press editor and United Nations translator.He was professor of religion at Amherst College from 1973 to 1988, when he accepted a position at Columbia University, where he was a professor of Tibetan Buddhism. Uma Thurman Thinks R-Patz Will be a 'Serious Actor'

It might be tough for the Twilight stars to transition into careers not revolved aroung good looks and vampires, but Uma Thurman feels confident Robert Pattinson can make the switch. She gushed about the heartthrob actor in a recent interview with MTV.

"He's extremely dashing, like an old-world movie star," says Thurman, who costars with the actor in Bel Ami. "He's incredibly concrete in his presence... and is obviously very handsome."

He's got the good looks, but is he a man of talent? Uma seems to think so.

"I think, he's going to be a really serious actor," says Thurman, 40, "He's a really good actor."

We'll be rooting for him in the next stage of his career.
