Avril Lavigne Tickets For UK Tour Dates ONSALE

In the year 2002, the words ‘female pop artist’ usually brought to mind a blonde, lip-synching sex symbol—that is, until 17-year old singer songwriter Avril Lavigne released her single “Complicated”. She was a feisty skater tomboy whose catchy tunes and lyrics made a high impact on pop culture.
Her first album, Let Go, made her the youngest female solo artist to have a #1 album in the UK. Her music videos depicted the young artist as being “one of the boys” and completely blew away the stigma that female artists had to submit to a strict feminine style to be pretty. Another thing that made her stand out was the fact that she actually wrote her own songs; her own heart being displayed in her albums, where she sang about life, love, and heartbreak.

Avril Lavigne has certainly come a long way from her sk8er boi days, releasing three more albums (Under My Skin, The Best Damn Thing, and her latest: Goodbye Lullaby). Each album revealed a little more of Lavigne’s heart and as each was released her music reflected how Lavigne was growing up and discovering who she was as a woman.
Avril Lavigne has announced two UK show dates. The first performances in Britain since 2008. The dates are September 21st in London and September 23rd in Manchester. Promoters for the show have promised an entirely new stage show, but the singer will also perform some of her classic hits, such as “Sk8er Boi”, “Complicated”, and “I’m With You”, and many others.

Avril Lavigne's Fans Send Death Threats to John Legend's Girlfriend

Earlier this week, a swimsuit model, Christine Teigen, has started a Twitter feud with rock chick Avril Lavigne. After dissing the Canadian rocker on her Twitter, the girlfriend of John Legend incessantly received haters' tweets on her account. Many of Avril's devotees kept sending her countless insulting messages and death threats as responds towards her mocking tweets against the "Complicated" hitmaker.

After being defenselessly attacked by Avril's fans on the social network, Christine finally surrendered as she tweeted an apology to the singer. She wrote, "I would formally like to apologize but only one of those 'sorry you are offended' apologies. Because I am". And she added another tweet, saying, "I spew out terrible opinions and observations all day and didn't think twice about that one."

Alhough Christine has made an official apology, Avril's squad wouldn't stop dissing her. For some time Christine kept tweeting incessant words of sorry and regret, but eventually she gave it up as she tweeted, "Apologies for the EXTREME overtweeting today. Really bored and waiting for flight. Don't hate me."

In contrary, Avril herself doesn't really care of Christie's insults. The popstar has ignored the one-sided feud and has not yet to mention any of it on her Twitter. And yet, her camp remains silent about the matter.

The conflict began earlier this week when Christine poked fun at Avril. She tweeted, " Watching an avril lavigne interview. The second most painful thing I have watched today after 'the goods'." She then continued with another tweet, writing, "If u told me I could have 1 kid, but it would be exactly like avril, I would choose to have a barren, sterile existence that ends when I die."

Avril Lavigne Scared Of Her Big New Home ‎

Avril Lavigne has admitted she is terrified of her new home because it is so big.
The Canadian singer bought her sprawling gothic mansion in Los Angeles last year and told Rolling Stone magazine she has transformed it into a 'medieval gothic castle, European-style'.
'[There are] chandeliers and red velvet curtains,” she said. “My bedroom is pink and black, my bathroom is totally Hello Kitty, I have a massive pink couch and a big antique gold cross. I'm not gonna lie, it's 12,000 square feet. It's so big it scares me.'

Avril Ramona Lavigne pronunciation: ˈævrɪl ləˈviːn born 27 September 1984is a Canadian singer-songwriter, fashion designer, actress, and philanthropist. She was born in Belleville, Ontario, but spent the majority of her youth in the small town of Napanee. By the age of 15, she had appeared on stage with Shania Twain; by 16, she had signed a two-album recording contract with Arista (now RCA Recordsworth more than $2 million. When she was 17 years old, Lavigne broke onto the music scene with her debut album, Let Go, released in 2002.
Let Go made Lavigne the youngest female soloist to reach 1 in the UK, and the album was certified four-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. By 2009, over 16 million copies had been sold worldwide. Her breakthrough single, "Complicated", peaked at 1 in many countries around the world, as did the album Let Go. Her second album, Under My Skin, was released in 2004 and was her first album to peak at 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200, eventually selling more than 10 million copies worldwide. The Best Damn Thing, Lavigne’s third album, was released in 2007, becoming her third 1 album in the UK Albums Chart and featuring her first U.S. Billboard Hot 100 1 single, "Girlfriend". Lavigne has scored a total of five #1 singles worldwide, including "Complicated", "Sk8er Boi", "I'm With You", "My Happy Ending" and "Girlfriend". Lavigne branched out from recording music, pursuing careers in feature film acting and designing clothes and perfumes. She voiced a character in the animated film, Over the Hedge, in 2006. That same year, she made her on-screen feature film debut in Fast Food Nation. In 2008, Lavigne introduced her clothing line, Abbey Dawn, and in 2009, she released her first perfume, Black Star, which was followed by her second perfume, Forbidden Rose, in 2010. In July 2006, Lavigne married her boyfriend of two years, Deryck Whibley, lead singer and guitarist for Sum 41. The marriage lasted a little over three years, and in October 2009, Lavigne filed for divorce. Whibley and Lavigne continued to work together, with Whibley producing her fourth album, as well as Lavigne's single, "Alice", written for Tim Burton's film Alice in Wonderland.
