Anne Curtis: Hits 1-M followers on Twitter

Television host and actress Anne Curtis is the first Filipino celebrity who has garnered 1 million followers on Twitter.

In her official Twitter account, Curtis thanked everyone who has been following her in the social networking site.

“1 million followers! Wooooow! Thank you to everyone for the follow here on Twitter! Thanks for wanting to follow and read all the nonsense, craziness and random thoughts I like to share,” she posted.

Curtis said she is grateful that Twitter has become a way to bridge the gap between her and her supporters. She noted that it has also become a way for her to reach the people she looks up to.

“I love Twitter for making it possible for me to have instant communication and feedback from you guys and also a way for me to follow the people I admire,” she said.

Being the first celebrity to reach this huge number of followers, Curtis said: “Cheers guys and thank you again for the love and support! Waaaaaah. You all made my day! Love you all!!!”

“I wish I could thank everyone that congratulated me kaya lang baka next month na ako matapos! Hahaha,” she added.

As of posting time, Curtis has 1,003,855 followers on Twitter.

Other local celebrities who have a big following on Twitter are Angel Locsin (615,799), Kris Aquino (611,884), Sam Milby (484,050), Bianca Gonzalez (483,036), and KC Concepcion (471,061). The figures are all as of posting time.

Just last month, a study released by comScore, Inc. revealed that the Philippines is among the top 10 users of the social networking site Twitter in the world.

Anne Curtis Shares Her Wish for Sam Milby

Hilig talaga ni Anne Curtis ang pagkanta ng live sa “Showtime”. Very confident ang aktres sa bawat sample song numbers na kanyang ginagawa para sa madlang people. Aminado si Anne na kaya niyang makipagsabayan sa magagaling na singers sa industriya. Hindi rin daw malayo na magkaroon siya ng sariling album one of these days dahil ni-request na niya ito sa Viva. “Yes it’s true, actually ganito ang kuwento, hiningi ko,” natatawang bungad ni Anne.

“Sabi ni Boss Vic Del Rosario, sige pagbigyan natin siya. Sana, please nagmamakaawa ako na bilhin ninyo ang album ko kapag lumabas na at kapag nagka-concert ako, sana ay suportahan ninyo, free entrance ‘yun,” nakangiting pahayag ng aktres.

Katatapos lang din ng birthday celebration ni Anne last February at isang charity event ang kanyang ginawa sa Hospicio De San Jose. Maraming natulungan si Anne at hindi raw niya makakalimutan ang naging experience niya roon. “May isang lola doon, I sat beside her, kinakapa ako, sabi anak, bulag na ako ngayon pero huling kita ko sa iyo it was sa youth oriented show. Sabi niya ang ganda mo noon, siguro ang ganda mo pa rin hanggang ngayon. Tapos, kinakapa niya ako, naiyak talaga ako, kumakanta din. Alam mo it’s a heartwarming feeling na salamat sa pagdalaw mo iha. Samantala, mayroon daw wini-wish daw si Anne para sa ex-boyfriend niyang si Sam Milby. Aminado kasi si Sam na single pa rin siya hanggang ngayon kaya gusto ni Anne na makahanap na sana ang aktor babaeng magmamahal sa kanya. “That’s all I ever wish for him because Sam is such a good person and he has a love to give as well. Siyempre all I wish for him is to find someone that will truly make him happy,” pagtatapos pa ni Anne. Masayang-masaya ngayon ang aktres sa kanilang relasyon ni Erwann Heussaff.

Anne Curtis On Relationship With Erwan Heussaff: "I don't want to give a title because I don't want us to stop."

Ang female lead ng bagong primetime series ng ABS-CBN na Green Rose na si Anne Curtis ang naging guest ni Charlene Gonzalez-Muhlach para sa kanyang segment na "Straight From The Heart" sa The Buzz noong Linggo, February 13.

Sa February 17 ang 26th birthday ni Anne. Ano ang plano niya on her special day?

"Of course, I'll be celebrating on Showtime. Sure na yun. Hindi ako puwedeng mawala do'n. And maybe, some intimate dinner with friends," sabi ng young actress.

And special love ones?

"Of course," nakangiting sagot ni Anne.

Ano naman ang regalo niya para sa kanyang sarili?

"Well, maybe sometime this year, I'll go out of the country again. Ganoon na lang."

All by herself?

"No, usually group of friends. Go out fo the country. Maybe this year, we'll go somewhere in Europe again," banggit ni Anne.

Her birthday wish?

"You know, I'm so blessed already. All I can wish for talaga that everything stay the same. No negativity. Puro positive lang. Not only this year but all the years to come."

COMPARISON. Ano naman ang reaction niya sa pagkukumpara sa kanya kina KC Concepcion, Angel Locsin, at Bea Alonzo?

"I think kasi what triggered that, we all shot Mark Nicdao's upcoming coffeetable book called Vantage. I think that's what started the whole issue na nako-compare kami, and it comes with the industry and what we're doing. 

"Pero, for me, it's such an honor to be compared with such beautiful ladies and to be part of that league, of this generation, di ba, of these leading ladies. Ako, I'm flattered.

"Nakaka-sad lang that people try to make an issue out of it, or minsan yung mga fans nag-aaway-away. Parang me, I just wish... The four of us are okay. We all get along, sana ganoon din ang lahat. Wala nang negativity. Everyone can be positive about it. Love, love, love, di ba?" saad niya.

VALENTINE'S DAY. Ano naman plano niya nung Valentine's day?

"Of course, Showtime, as usual. Sa gabi, we'll see, we'll see what will happen. 

"I'm spending it with Erwan [Heussaff, 'Anne's boyfriend] but I'm not the one who's gonna do the planning. So, I don't have any idea what's going to happen. Surprise daw."

Ano naman ang most romantic date ever ni Anne?

"I can't choose one. Sa akin na lang yun," nakangiti niyang sabi.

Anne, Bea, Angel, KC All In One Project Together

For the first time ever, ABS-CBN contract stars Angel Locsin, KC Concepcion, Anne Curtis and Bea Alonzo have joined forces to do a special project.

"It was a pictorial that we shot altogether. Ang galing ni [photographer] Mark Nicdao napagsama-sama niya kaming lahat. Ito ay [coffee table book]," Curtis said during a press conference for a television series called “Green Rose”

Curtis, who is hosting "Showtime," said she hopes that all of them can appear in one television project in the future.

"Sana magka-show kaming lahat. Pero ang ginagawa ng ABS-CBN ay hinahati-hati kaming lahat, kasi alangan namang nasa isang show kaming lahat. At least lahat may isang teleserye or show. Kasi kung nasa isang show kami baka hindi na kami mabigyan ng ibang shows. Pero sana, kahit guesting or something, ay magkasama kaming lahat," she said.

Curtis is also promoting her movie, "Who's That Girl?," while Locsin is doing "Imortal" alongside John Lloyd Cruz.

Concepcion is hosting "The Buzz." She is also set to do a movie with Sam Milby. Bea Alonzo is paired with Robin Padilla in ABS-CBN TV series "Guns and Roses."
