Fair Weather

Tomorrow is my last day of final exams. Thursday I'm seeing The Hangover Part II with my advisory (kool kats huh) and Friday is the last day of school. Then I'll have a month of freedom in which I mooch around and draw, and then finally I'll have a month of mooching around FIT and drawing (jayplay it's a learning experience). I couldn't be happier.

Top: H&M
Pink Undershirt: H&M
Shorts: Urban Outfitters
Belt: GapKids
Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Shoes: Hunter

Remember, I'm not actually a mean person — that's just how my face looks so hop off.
But if you want proof that yes, I do facial muscles that allow me to look somewhat happy, here:

don't ask because i don't even know.

New Shoes and Dopie Shoes and the Jive! Jive! Jive!

Due to some parental conflicts, I was not able to share pictures of these shoes I got for the holidays. They are ravishing. I think I'm in love. They're cream-colored Hunter boots made of tumbled leather with a lug sole and 3 1/2 inch heels.

Yeah I'm a loser who takes pictures of her shoes.
Some other pictures from the day:
I finally got around to framing the prints purchased from BlackBaroque on Etsy. I think they look cool. (Note the ladybug piggy bank and weird dirt marks on the wall.)

Bookshelf containing little tooth shaped boxes that hold my baby teeth, a figurine I got from ballet class ten years ago (I accidentally broke the head off but yay for glue guns), a lock I forgot the combination of, a wooden dog souvenir and a Mardi-Gras mask from my friend. The flower/star thingy is a window hanging but the suction cup came off. As for the books: The Missing Girl by Norma Mazer, Paper Towns by John Green, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, Thursday's Child and What the Birds See by Sonia Hartnett, The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx, The Dirt by Motley Crue, Hungry by Crystal Renn and The Tattoo Chronicles by Kat Von D. Sorry for the extensive list of stuff.

Ugly Shoe of the day is by Dopie, a company that strives to bring our people the most minimalist shoes possible. They're basically a rubber sole with a raised part that goes in between your toes (a little strap is optional for those who want more "support"). Okay now let's make the inevitable joke that these shoes will make you look like a dope. Hardy har.

Lastly, here is a lovely video of models Cole Mohr, Shane Gambill, Miles Garber, Miles Kirchner, Daniel McSweeny and Luca Vigorelli dancing the jive in a Hairspray-esque video on StyleCaster. It's a few weeks old, but I forgot to blog about it on here. Beeteedubs what's the deal with male models having excessive finger-tattoos? Apparently you can't embed this video so here's the LINK. It's really good so take 2 minutes and 48 seconds of your life to watch it!

More Ugly Shoes and Flowers. Plus Some Really Nice Shoes.

Today is my first official day of Winter Break. Technically, it started at 3:10 PM on Friday, December 17th, but that doesn't really count because I was in school for practically the whole day, plus Saturday and Sunday was the weekend. I, along with my classmates are lucky because we get an abnormally long winter break compared to other schools. So while some of my friends are in classes right now, I'm mooching around on the couch blogging about my pathetic life, hardy har har.
Anyhow, let's start with the ugly shoes so your eyes will have a chance to get over the scarring/ugly-ification whilst reading the rest of this blog.

Okay wait WHAT IS THIS.
Notice the text on the bottom; "Club Wear" is the defining term here.
Jesus juss' hangin' out on mah shoez.
I actually have a folder on my desktop dubbed, "uglyshoes." Moving on. Here are the new pictures of flowers I promised.

Now for some beautiful shoes!
Camilla Skovgaard wedges with her famous "saw" heel.
Christian Louboutin studded oxford. And lastly...

Hunter Boyne boot.

I bought my parents' Christmas prezzys yesterday. DISCLAIMER: If you are my mother or father you should probably stop reading now because I am about to list the things I got you both.
1. TREATS FROM FINANCIER! Mini meringues, mini chocolate cakes things, Financier's Espresso blend, and almond cookies dipped in chocolate.
2. Jefferson Airplane Live at The Filmore East
I am mucho proud of myself. I was also going to buy my father this book called "Cobain Unseen," but I figured that one, we don't need anymore books in this house and two, I was just going to purchase it, wrap it, put a little sticker on it that said "To: Dad," but really read it myself because my father doesn't particularly care for Kurt Cobain or Nirvana, for that matter.

I hope I haven't bored you.
It really annoys me that Blogger doesn't allow uploads of GIF images. GIFs are always nice and amusing additions to any blog post.
