Last month it was Mexico, now Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz are sunning themselves in Miami.

The new couple seem intent on spending as much time together as possible, relaxing by a pool today.

While they have only been dating since February, Eva has made no secret of the fact that she is looking for someone to settle down with, revealing recently that she wanted to start a family.

But the Desperate Housewives star, 36, did manage to drag herself away from 26-year-old Eduardo for a few hours.

Dressed in a pair of denim shorts and wedges which showed off her toned legs, she headed to the stores for a spot of shopping.

Browsing the rails she looked happy and relaxed, before heading back to her boyfriend’s side.

Meanwhile action man Eduardo, the younger brother of actresses Penelope and Monica, had shown off his prowess on a jet ski.

The break comes after Eva’s time-consuming promotional tour for her new cookbook Eva’s Kitchen.

’Things are getting very serious between Eva and Eduardo,’ a source tells America’s People magazine. ’They’re really happy.’

And Eva has made no secret of her desire to start a family, a feeling which might have been heightened after organising her close friend Victoria Beckham’s baby shower.

’[I want to] have kids and be a mom,’ she said while promoting her book on the Rachael Ray Show.

Eva split from her husband of four years, Tony Parker, in November amid allegations he had been unfaithful.

While she was heartbroken over the divorce, she insists she wishes the basketballer well.

’So many people want me to hate him and destroy him, but I don’t want to,’ she has said. ’I want him to be happy. He’s not a bad person.

’I do believe in forgiving and forgetting. There was a reason we were together. I just want to hold on to the good times.’
