100 Contemporary Designers, Kate Moss for Kidz on Zazzle

Big thanks to Buzznet for sending me mah prezzies for the Fashion Week blogging contest! After a slightly problematic address mix-up, I received the much-anticipated package today. I got two books: Chanel Collections and Creations by Daniele Bott and 100 Contemporary Designers published by Taschen and edited by Terry Jones. Buzznet also bestowed The September Issue DVD upon me! Happy day! I haven't taken a close look at the Chanel book yet, but I flipped through 100 Contemporary Designers this afternoon. It's fantastic. It is comprised of two extremely heavy volumes, profiling fashion designers A to Z, from Haider Ackerman to Italo Zucchelli. The book gives a brief history and interview of each designer, and shows photos from various ad campaigns/editorials featuring his or her work. The book was published in 2009 so it's a bit out of date: Alexander McQueen has his own page but I don't really mind because it's a nice reminder of his legacy and overall amazing talent.

A user named "TeenModelingTV" on Zazzle is selling children's tee-shirts touting Kate Moss' famous quote, "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!". This is quite awful. First of all, the message this quote sends to adults, much less impressionable 10 year olds, is completely screwed up and unhealthy. Second of all, if you're going to sell something as inane as this, you might as well market it well because I'm sure no parent in his or her right mind is going to readily purchase it. I mean look at this unhappy girl:

dis chick is like 6 but she knows something's wrong.

Also, the sizing info on this shirt describes it as running extremely small. "TeenModelingTV" suggests you buy one or two sizes up. If you take a look at the rest of their Zazzle, you will find it stocked with magnets saying "Waif or Death," and shirts with "MILF" with a slash through it. They've also got a pin titled "Eilish scngrl button." Why anyone would want this stuck on their shirt is beyond me:
