Australian model and new mother Miranda Kerr has been named the global ambassador for this year’s Earth Hour. Miranda, who has an organic skin-care range and blog, has pledged to turn off the lights on Saturday, March 26 — whether she’s at her plush New York apartment or at her luxurious Los Angeles pad.
“Each of us has a responsibility for the sustainability of our planet and each of us can make a difference if we choose to do so,” a daily quoted the supermodel as saying. The organisers are hoping that Miranda’s sex appeal rouses Melbournians, in particular, to turn off the lights on Earth Day. ANI
