| Falling ice injures 5 at Cowboys stadium Posted: 04 Feb 2011 02:46 PM PST This is shaping up to be a Super Bowl to remember. When the NFL chose Dallas as the site, they assumed they would get one of the more exciting venues of the last decade in weather that maybe wasn’t as nice as San Diego or Miami, but certainly not as bad as Detroit’s in 2006. Turns out, the snow storm of the Detroit Super Bowl is a cupcake compared to the nightmare that’s going on right now in the Big D. Five people were injured when ice fell from Cowboys stadium today.
Weathermen had predicted about 3 inches of snow overnight but instead, some residents woke up to more than half foot of ice-snow wintry mix. The city was obviously completely unprepared for this weather as some have said this is the worst snowstorm they’ve seen in almost two decades. The good news out of all this? The kids had a light week and probably caught up on all their Super Bowl prop bets. Most of them haven’t been to school since Monday. | Katy Perry was Photoshopped in Rolling Stone…did she need it? Posted: 04 Feb 2011 12:09 PM PST We’ve been long time fans of Katy Perry on this site. With good reason…her music is catchy (despite how shameful it may be for us to put that in writing), she seems kind of interesting, and she’s smoking hot. But apparently, Rolling Stone disagrees since they Photoshopped her up real good on their newest issue’s cover.  Naturally, a lot of the women out there are up in arms. Katy Perry’s naturally pretty hot. And then she’s made up by Rolling Stone’s photography crew, anyway. So why the excessive ‘shoppage? Tumblr…er lourtneycove — the originator of the .gif above — says:
I tend to agree with the above sentiment. That said, they did make her much brighter and foxier in the Photoshopped version. If you compare the “after” to the “before”, it’s sort of like looking at someone who looked at the Ark of the Covenant, but just really briefly. And then put a sock on her right foot for no reason.
