Kroes has graced the covers of Time, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Seventeen, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, W, Avantgarde, Dazed & Confused and number. She also appears regularly in the Victoria's Secret catalog and walked the runway fashion show of the company in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Kroes campaigns including Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, Hugo Boss, Guerlain, Bottega Veneta, De Beers, Escada, GAP, Gianfranco Ferre and Neiman Marcus. In August 2005 he was appointed spokesman for the Calvin Klein "Eternity" fragrance campaign in place of the actress Scarlett Johansson and in April 2006, she signed a three-year contract with L'Oréal Paris. Kroes can currently be seen in ads on the company with Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington.
In 2005, Doutzen Kroes, was selected as "Model of the Year" on Vogue.com by readers and appeared on the cover of the May 2007 issue with Hilary Rhoda, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha , Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson as the new crop of "supermodels." Along with several of these models, which appeared in the 2008 Pirelli calendar.
